About
This presentation provides a practical introduction to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in occupational safety & health (OSH), with a particular focus on generative AI and large language models (LLMs). Following a brief overview of various language models, the presentation explains the differences between AI systems with a fixed knowledge base, chatbots with internet access, and chatbots that access internal company or subject-specific data.
The focus is on “prompting”—that is, formulating effective prompts for AI systems. You will learn which factors influence the quality of responses, which prompting techniques work particularly well in practice, and which approaches offer little added value today.
The presentation focuses on specific applications for occupational safety professionals. Using numerous practical examples and use cases, it demonstrates how AI can support typical tasks in occupational safety.
The goal is to realize the potential of generative AI and to be able to immediately apply what you’ve learned to your daily work.
